5. Hike a mountain on the Pacific Crest Trail

6. Visit Lava Beds National Monument

Explore old lava caves.  Learn about the Modoc Indian War.  View outstanding wildlife.

Klamath Lake was listed by "Sailing" magazine as one of the 10 best sailing lakes in North America.  Enjoy the regattas and special sailing events during the year.

 

9. Go ice skating at The Bill Collier Ice Arena

What a wonderful way to spend a winters day.  Located at the Running Y Resort.  Make sure to get some hot chocolate!

 

10. Enjoy an evening downtown at Third Thursday

Walk beautiful downtown Klamath Falls and enjoy art, music, food, crafts and more!

 

11. Bike, walk or horseback ride the OC&E Trail

So many miles of beautiful country trail.

 

12. Take a swim at the Ella Redkey geothermally-heated pool

Summer or winter this is a great place to swim!

 

13. Raft the Klamath River

Take it easy or ride class 5 rapids!

 

14. Camp at Lake of the Woods, Odell Lake or Howards Prairie

Held each year in June, these are zany contraptions that have to withstand racing hills, water, mud and more!  Followed by music and food in Veterans Park.

The Lake Ewauna Rowing Club offers free classes to those interested in learning to row.

Who couldnt use a little pampering?  There are some great spas in Klamath Falls.

 

48. Visit the Saturday Farmers Market

Local merchants sell their wares downtown each Saturday morning through the summer.

 

49. Enjoy the annual Blues, Brews & Brats Festival

Held at the Klamath Yacht Club.  Enjoy an afternoon and evening of blues, microbrew sampling and a German bratwurst dinner to benefit local charities.

 

50. Kruise of Klamath

A three-day classic car show usually held in mid-July.  Saturday evening includes an evening cruise down Main St.  Come ooh and aah at these beautiful cars.
